Personal data in research data
When you transfer data for archiving, your data is generally unavailable to others for 75 years, and you can influence who can access your data.
The Danish National Archives looks after your data
Over the first 20 years, no one can receive access to your data without your consent. Following that, it is the Danish National Archives that determines whether to give access to your data.
If your data contains personal data, the Danish Data Protection Agency must always approve whether other researchers and users may access it.
Users are only able to access your material without applying for permission after 75 years.
